Deputy Governor Cik Ujang: Budget Changes Must Support People’s Prosperity

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Deputy Governor H. Cik Ujang attended the 18th Plenary Session of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, which discussed the general views of party factions on the draft amendment to the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD). The session took place at the DPRD plenary hall on Monday (July 21, 2025).

During the session, DPRD factions delivered their perspectives on the proposed budget changes, emphasizing the importance of regional self-reliance and encouraging innovation in budget utilization to ensure effective outcomes.

They also highlighted that mandatory spending should prioritize public services, regional growth, and productive programs to improve community welfare. Additionally, factions urged regional government agencies (OPD) to align budget allocations with South Sumatra’s development direction and national policy priorities.

Deputy Governor Cik Ujang reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the APBD amendment process to advance the province and enhance the welfare of its people.

The session was chaired by DPRD Vice Speaker H. Nopianto SE.MM and attended by South Sumatra Provincial Secretary H. Edward Candra, along with heads of regional government agencies.
