South Sumatra DPRD Chairman Andie Dinialdie Attends the 2026 Musi Ketupat Operation Troop Roll Call

Palembang, The Indonesia Post — The Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Andie Dinialdie, attended the Troop Roll Call in the framework of Readiness for the Implementation of Operation Ketupat Musi 2026 which was held at the Griya Agung Palembang Yard, Thursday (12/3/2026).

The roll call was led directly by the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, and was also attended by the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Dr. Sandi Nugroho, SIK, SH, M.Hum., and other elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Andie Dinialdie’s presence at the roll call was a form of support from the South Sumatra DPRD for efforts to secure the flow of homecoming travelers and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah so that it runs safely, orderly, and smoothly.

The roll call began with an inspection of troops by the Governor of South Sumatra together with the Regional Police Chief, followed by the pinning of a ribbon to mark the start of Operation Ketupat Musi 2026 to representatives of TNI, Polri, and Transportation Service personnel.

Based on a survey by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, the potential number of people traveling during Eid al-Fitr 2026 is predicted to reach 143.9 million nationwide. To anticipate this surge, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is conducting the Centralized Operation “Ketupat-2026” for 13 days, from March 13 to 25, 2026.

This operation involved 161,243 joint personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and related agencies, supported by 2,746 posts: 1,624 security posts, 779 service posts, and 343 integrated posts. Security was also focused on 185,607 strategic locations, from mosques and shopping centers to tourist attractions, to terminals and airports.

South Sumatra DPRD Chairman Andie Dinialdie expressed his hope that the entire series of Operation Ketupat Musi 2026 would run optimally so that the people of South Sumatra could celebrate Eid al-Fitr in a safe and comfortable manner.

He also urged the public to support the efforts of the government and security forces, and to continue to comply with traffic regulations to ensure a smooth flow of people returning home for Eid this year. (mhn/ril)
