PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – With a happy smile, South Sumatra Governor H Herman Deru (HD) entered the Ar-Rozaq Mosque, Friday (19/6). The arrival of governor at the mosque in the Sungai Pangeran sub-district of Ilir Timur I Palembang was none other than to make his Friday prayer with Safari or visiting all mosques in South Sumatra every Friday.
On that occasion, HD invites all levels of society to continue to be grateful. Because, the longing for worship in the congregation which had been disturbed by the plague COVID-19 has finally returned to normal.
“In the past few months, we cannot do this Friday prayer because of the covid-19 epidemic. Even when the government recommends not to hold Friday prayers in order to break the spread of covid-19, there are still people who continue to carry it out even though it is clandestine. prove if we are thirsty to worship together in the congregation at the same time keep in touch like this, “said HD.
Including himself, HD said he also missed meeting with people because of the plague.
“Gathering by way of safari every Friday I have done since 15 years ago and this year was disrupted by the covid-19 pandemic. But now we can worship in the congregation even though we must continue to implement health protocols,” he said.
According to him, in the history of life in South Sumatra, there had never been an outbreak like this, although it was previously known that there had been an outbreak of cholera, MERS, sars, ebola, and others that had happened.
“This is different because the world has become more sophisticated so that information is more quickly known to the public. Moreover, coupled with the existence of lies and excessive news that makes people become afraid. Do not take advantage from this plague, because it affects so many things,” he explained.
Now, the government itself continues to provide decisive action to those spreading false news. Other efforts by the government also issued a policy so that the regions implement a new normal life order.
“At the moment we are reorganizing towards a new normal so that productivity is not disrupted but we must continue to implement health protocols. We must be healthy as well as be productive,” he explained.
Also in mosques, health protocols must also be implemented so that the safety and comfort of the community in performing worship are guaranteed.
“The government does not limit religious activities, but health protocols must also be strict so that people are comfortable worshiping,” he concluded. (jekk/rel)
