Building 10 Sports Hall, Herman Deru Wants Real Impacts on the People of South Sumatra

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru has never been half-assed in trying to equalize development for its citizens. One example is how he attempted to build 10 sports halls (GOR) in a number of urban districts in South Sumatra.

“The Rp128 billion from PTBA CSR was originally intended to build a large and magnificent convention hall. But I think we don’t really need it yet and there are alternatives. Meanwhile, in new areas, it will be difficult to build a sports hall because the APBD is limited. So I took the initiative to let it be. GOR only built this money for a number of regions. I want this distribution to have a real impact, “said HD after PT. Bukit Asam Tbk to the South Sumatra Provincial Government at Griya Agung, Monday (21/09/20).

In addition to flattening development, the breakthrough he has made, said HD, also indirectly illustrates that the pattern of each leader is different and the way he thinks.

“If these new areas are left unattended, they will certainly prioritize urgent development first. How could they possibly be able to build a sports hall because financial capacity is not sufficient,” HD said.

On that basis, when he got the authority to manage PTBA’s CSR assistance, HD immediately decided to help the region build facilities for the residents of South Sumatra. This has been enhanced with a million football assistance program to give birth to new footballers from South Sumatra.

Especially to PTBA, HD also gave high appreciation for being so concerned about equitable development in South Sumatra.

Meanwhile, PTBA Tbk’s Senior Manager, Zulfikar said that the CSR assistance they provide is CSR that PTBA has collected for four years.

“At first he wanted to build a convention hall, but he did not agree and wanted this to be distributed to districts / cities. And now PTBA is also proud to have participated in building South Sumatra. Because so far, even though we are local people, we are not necessarily able to build the region. We are very grateful for this fund. distributed for mutual progress, “he said, while saying that if nothing gets in the way, it is estimated that within the next 8 months the construction of the GOR will be completed.

Currently, Zulfikar acknowledged that PTBA as the fifth largest mining company in Indonesia also experienced a decline in production. However, he said that so far the company was still able to survive thanks to the support of the Governor and even helped the development of South Sumatra.

On that occasion, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru signed the official report for the handover of CSR assistance from the Provincial Government with PTBA.
