PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – October 1, 2020 yesterday, exactly two years of leadership of H. Herman Deru and H. Mawardi Yahya (HDMY) as Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) for the 2018-2023 period.
The two-year anniversary of HDMY which was held at Griya Agung Palembang, Monday (5/10), was quite special, at least during that time HDMY managed to collect 89 awards both regional and national. The award is one of the benchmarks for HDMY’s real work, which if calculated within 8 working days, at least one award is received by the Governor and Deputy Governor, who carry the tagline “South Sumatra is Advancing for All”.
On that occasion, Governor Herman Deru expressed his gratitude for being given health and strength in realizing the Vision of South Sumatra Forward for All.
He also mentioned that the two years of HDMY’s leadership were the satker moment for introspection of what was, is being and will be done in the future in order to realize the welfare of the people of South Sumatra.
“Our present meeting is not only a reflection but more towards self-reflection, what has been done, done now and what will be done,” said Herman Deru.
In the event which was attended by Deputy Governor Mawardi Yahya, Regional Secretary H. Nasrun Umar, assistants and OPD Heads within the Provincial Government. In South Sumatra, Herman Deru said that he as the Governor and as the superior, it is appropriate to give the report card value to the performance results of the working units to realize HDMY’s vision and mission “South Sumatra Forward for All” within the 2 x 360 days that HDMY has passed leading South Sumatra.
“Apart from working in accordance with the topoxy, the Satker must also assist the governor in carrying out his vision and mission,” added Herman Deru.
According to Herman Deru, the realization of development in South Sumatra evenly cannot be separated from the support and trust of the community itself, including in efforts to increase Regional Original Income (PAD).
“Thank you to all people for their support and trust. Whatever we build without community participation, it will certainly be difficult, including the increase in PAD thanks to community participation,” explained HD.
Herman Deru also mentioned in running the government in South Sumatra. He tries to create an atmosphere that will and is conducive. Therefore, he asked not to take action that tarnished the harmony between himself and Deputy Governor H. Mawardi Yahya. The wheels of government in South Sumatra run well without oblique issues. Work seriously by sticking to the correct rails according to the rules.
“I’m very familiar with Pak Mawardi. This is one of the things that makes us comfortable working. 50 percent comfort because we chord,” he explained.
Regarding the realization of improving road infrastructure in South Sumatra, Herman Deru said that all road infrastructure targets were in line with the target
which becomes the authority of the province by the end of 2020 this is 100 percent completely repaired.
“God willing, the infrastructure obligations of the South Sumatra Provincial Government to finish this year can be said to be completely repaired,” he explained.
Regarding the 89 awards collected within two years of leading South Sumatra, Herman Deru said he was proud and gave his appreciation because the most felt was service to the community such as the village internet, the house of tahfidz, the Village Religious Affairs Liaison Officer (P2UKD), then the solid cooperation between the TNI / Polri in creating conflict conditions in South Sumatra Zero, “he added
In this place, the governor also reminded OPDs not to have sectoral egos in realizing the provision program, but they must be in line through intensive coordination with the district / city government.
“We have to share a vision with the Regency / City. The failure of the Regency / City becomes the failure of the Province. So if the South Sumatra Province is to progress, we have to have one vision and mission and no sectoral ego,” he said. (mhn/ril)
