Herman Deru Launches the 100,000 Al-Qur’an Waqf Program

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru (HD) opened the South Sumatra Muhammadiyah Youth Regional Working Meeting with the theme “Confirming Da’wah Identities to Form a Sustainable Muhammadiyah Generation” which was held by the Regional Leaders of the South Sumatra Muhammadiyah Youth.

In his remarks HD said that of course every organization wants to have a recommendation that is produced from every work meeting that is held and provides benefits to the organization internally and externally.

“Plus there is a value for the hospitality at the work meeting, it will be an additional value for participants and organizers, where in the midst of a pandemic condition like today, friendship is difficult to do,” said HD.

HD also said that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, regional leaders or other organizational leaders were forced to make various innovations in order to provide a way out of various things that limit their space.

“Regarding the theme presented, it is an internal doctrine built for Muhammadiyah Youth members to become leaders outside the organization,” said HD.

HD also wants young (Pemuda) Muhamaddiyah to act as constitutional citizens who have the right to be able to sort out personal and organizational opinions.

In addition, HD also signed a 100,000 Al-Qur’an waqf program for Al-Qur’an memorizers as a sign of the opening of the work meeting as well as launching the program.

Also present were the Governor’s Expert Staff, Bid. Government, Law and Politics, Rosyidin, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership, Dr. Muchtarudin, MP, Chairperson of the South Sumatra Muhammadiyah Youth Regional Leadership, Ihsan Jauhari, SE., M.Si, as well as the Head of OPD Prov.
