HD: Sharpen Creativity Through Critical Writing

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) opened the grand final of the 2021 critical writing competition organized by the UNSRI Faculty of Engineering BEM with the theme of honing the creativity of Indonesia’s golden generation in the new normal for the nation’s future which was held on 15-16 October 2021.

On that occasion HD said that to speak critically and constructively is very important for actors and policy makers, especially in the field of engineering.

HD also explained that through this activity, students can hone and increase creativity in making critical writings, especially in the field of engineering that will provide new knowledge about the issues being criticized.

“Brothers and sisters who are members of any civil engineering must be able to carry out Istiqomah education in the majors taken,” said HD.

According to HD, consistency is very important because Indonesia really needs human resources who are experts in the field of engineering so that later Indonesia will no longer have to bring in engineering engineers from abroad.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor III of Sriwijaya University, Iwan Stia Budi, S.K.M., M.Kes, expressed his gratitude to the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru who took the time to attend the event.

He also said that the activity was carried out with the aim of encouraging students to produce critical writings and contribute to improving human resources in South Sumatra. (ojn/ril)
