Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru opened the Meeting of the Integrated Team for Prevention, Eradication of Abuse, Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursors.
HD said that efforts to prevent drug trafficking are the responsibility of all parties, which can be carried out in a refrensive and preventive way. It also requires the role of religious leaders to be involved in drug prevention efforts.
“By carrying out this activity, it is hoped that it can produce solutions and recommendations to anticipate or eradicate drug trafficking, thankfully we can reduce it,” he said.
HD hopes that it will not stop to prevent, because we know the impact is certainly detrimental to ourselves and the environment, for those with high social status it can go down, while for those with low social status it can lead to crime,” he said.
In addition, HD also provides operational assistance for drug eradication efforts in South Sumatra in the form of 10 motorbikes and 1 car unit.
Head of the South Sumatra Kesbangpol Agency, Herly Kurniawan, said this activity was carried out to form an integrated team to strengthen prevention and eradication by collaborating with relevant parties in South Sumatra.
