Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru directed that every element of Education participate in enlivening as well as being a good host in the implementation of the 2022 National Community Recreational Sports Festival (Fornas) in South Sumatra in July.
“Through Disdik, to students and teachers, let’s participate in the preparation to welcome FORNAS. Not only participation and achievements are achieved, but we must be ready to be good hosts for traditional sports athletes throughout Indonesia who will come here,” he said when be the builder of the 2022 National Education Day Commemoration Ceremony
HD wants educational institutions from the provincial level to the village level to be at the forefront to show skills and love for sports with local wisdom.
Besides that, HD also read the Mendikbudristek’s speech in Commemoration of National Education Day 2022 which directs education to continue to rise and be carried out well to remote areas through the Independent Learning program even though it is still in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.
On that occasion, HD gave souvenirs and awards to retired employees of the South Sumatra Provincial Government in the form of a 24-carat gold ring. And giving prizes to the winners of the South Sumatra Advanced United Mars choir competition at the high school level throughout South Sumatra in the context of National Education.
This activity was attended by representatives of high school students in South Sumatra, and teachers in South Sumatra. The Marching Band performance was enlivened by SMAN 1 Palembang and SMKN 6 Palembang. (mhn/ril)
