Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru Opened technical guidance on women’s participation in eradicating corruption as well as inauguration of the Ampera Anti-Corruption Extension Forum (PAKSI) in South Sumatra Province.
Through that opportunity, HD said that the role of women is so important to prevent corruption from an early stage starting from the lowest level, namely the household.
“Therefore, this activity is carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commision (KPK) in order to provide guidance to women in cracking down on corruption. Women are figures who have a very important role in providing early education to children,” said HD.
HD also explained that Corruption is a disgraceful behavior that is inappropriate to do, “this is where the role of a woman and mother as an anti-corruption ambassador in the family as well as an anti-corruption role model for their children”, said HD.
Closing his speech, HD expressed his gratitude for the participation of South Sumatran women who attended the event.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission, Firli Bahuri said that he really appreciated and gave the highest respect to women. Where according to him the progress of civilization cannot be separated from the role of great women with their works.
“In eradicating corruption, the Corruption Eradication Commission has built a program that has the key word that eradicating corruption must be carried out at the family level organized by mothers in educating their children about the bad behavior of corruption,” explained Firli.
He also considered that corruption will never be successfully eradicated without the role of women. (ojn/mhn/ril)
