Herman Deru Proud of the Community in Center Park by Compactly Building a Mosque

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The routine Friday safari activity carried out by the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru at the Al Hijrah Mosque in the Center Park Complex, Kec. Alang-Alang Lebar Palembang, Friday (24/6), was different as usual.

Where at the beginning of his arrival, Governor Herman Deru immediately inaugurated the mosque which was marked by the signing of the inscription.

Not only that, the number one person on Earth of Sriwijaya also had the opportunity to lay the first stone to mark the start of the construction of the mosque minaret.

“We really appreciate the cohesiveness of residents and developers of this housing by independently developing this mosque. Of course this can be an example for people in other settlements,” said Herman Deru, after Friday prayers in congregation.

According to him, the glory of a mosque is not only seen from the number of congregants who throng the mosque, but also can be seen from the mutual cooperation in building it. Including developing religious activities in the mosque.

“One of them is the construction of a tower. This is also a way to glorify the mosque. This tower is a separate way of broadcasting Islam with the melodious chanting of Al-Qur’an verses through this tower,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Head of Al Hijrah Mosque H Gandi Arius said the mosque had been used by the community as a place of worship in April 2022.

Where, initially the mosque was a prayer room.

“Because of the high demand, we will develop it into a mosque with non-governmental funds,” he said.

Also included in the construction of the tower. Where, he continued, self-help is a form of community synergy.

“This self-help is a community synergy. Hopefully this mosque can be useful for the community,” he concluded.
