Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Through the referral network empowerment program, the Siti Fatimah Regional General Hospital (RSUD) will become the Main Referral Hospital which will be fostered by the National Supporting Hospital so that in the future Siti Fatimah Hospital will be able to handle and service four priority diseases such as Cancer, Heart, Stroke and Uronephrology, independently based on patient safety.
This was stated when the Governor of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru (HD) received an audience from the Ministry of Health Team and the National Referral Hospital, including the President Director of Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital, Jakarta, Dharmais Cancer Hospital, National Brain Center Hospital and Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital ( RSCM), as well as RSMH Palembang in order to deliver the Network Empowerment Program to several hospitals designated as hospital networks (RS), located in the Governor’s Room of South Sumatra, Tuesday (11/10) afternoon.
Herman Deru hopes that this Network Hospital Facilitation Program will meet the needs of the community in the area to get services for Cancer, Heart, Stroke and Uronephrology, so that they will be accessed more evenly with quality services according to standards. This will also aim to reduce mortality due to delays in handling patients in Indonesia, especially in the province of South Sumatra.
Recognized by Herman Deru, the program initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Health is in line with what was echoed by the South Sumatra Provincial Government, which he wants from several hospitals in South Sumatra Province, each of which has superior services. (mhn/ril)
