Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The launching activity was carried out by the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru together with the Head of the National Narcotics Agency, Komjen Pol Dr. Petrus R Golose in order to save society from the bad effects of drug use. This was explained by the Commissioner General of Police Dr. Petrus R Golose giving his speech.
“I emphasize to all that our determination is to save society from the dangers of drug use. I am also grateful for the support of the governor who refused to legalize cannabis,” he said.
On the same occasion, HD through his speech conveyed that the Launching of the Shining Plantations (Drugs Clean) and the Shining Thematic Tourism Village was a noble task initiated by the National Narcotics Agency to remind the public to continue to be aware of the dangers of drugs.
HD also said that all elements of the government and elements of society at all levels must be responsible and take steps to prevent drug problems in society.
“All must become officers who represent themselves to eradicate drugs in South Sumatra,” said HD. (mhn/ril)
