Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council Attends Simultaneously Gives Speech ‘Silakwil I ICMI Orwil’ South Sumatra

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Province, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., attended and gave a speech at the Regional Working Gathering I (Silakwil I) of the Association of Indonesian Muslim Scholars (ICMI) Orwil South Sumatra with the theme “ICMI Embracing Regional Potential Towards Civil Society, Seminar on Natural Resource Management” at the Emilia Hotel Ballroom, Palembang. Saturday (11/03/2023).

The 1st Silakwil activity lasted for two days from 11-12 March 2023. It aims to consolidate the organization, both structurally and work program so that ICMI Sumsel can create a scholarly ecosystem with various stakeholders.

ICMi South Sumatra also pays great attention to education to create reliable Human Resources (HR) and will carry out various collaborations with several universities.

This collaboration will be followed up in accordance with the formulations that will be prepared by ICMI Sumsel.

Then, ICMI South Sumatra also launched Smart KTA in collaboration with the Babel Sumsel Bank, as a real and strategic partnership with the regional banks owned by the South Sumatra Provincial Government.

At that time, the Head of ICMI for South Sumatra Province Heri Amalindo asked all levels of the Regional Government (Pemda), the General Election Commission (KPU) of the South Sumatra Province, the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) and political parties to work hand in hand in protecting and maintaining people’s lives.

Heri said, his party also asked to realize quality, honest and credible elections and regional head elections. In order to be able to produce a trustworthy leader figure in defending the mandate of the constitution.

According to Heri, his party also asked the regional government to facilitate the development of cultural and religious tourism by increasing literacy related to the existence of the Sriwijaya royal tomb, the Palembang sultanate, local traditions and cultural heritage in the South Sumatra region.

“We hope that the local government can facilitate and optimize social, educational and religious services for the community at the grassroots level by empowering religious leaders, houses of worship and educational institutions,” he added.

Heri said specifically to the Governor of South Sumatra, so that he could follow up on the construction of the Sriwijaya Mosque in the Jakabaring Sport City area.

“We also hope that ICMI Orwil South Sumatra will always be Istiqomah in striving to provide the benefit of the people, in realizing itself as an intellectual organization that inspires, fights for transportation and solutions,” he said. (ojn/ril)
