Work from Home Extended to April 21, Civil Servant is Prohibited to Return to Their Regions

PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – The situation of the Coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia and in the Province of South Sumatra has not shown signs of stopping, the Government of South Sumatra Province is extending the Work from Home period to April 21, 2020. Although work at home, the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is prohibited from leaving the city or going outside the city. The Governor’s decision can be evaluated at any time.

The work system at home is not necessarily the last, depending on the situation and conditions, the extension will continue again. South Sumatra Governor Herman Deru has signed the latest Circular Letter, No. 1192 / BKD.I / 2020 concerning the Implementation of the State Civil Servants’  Work System in the Prevention of Covid-19 Spread in the South Sumatra Provincial Government. According to the Governor, the circular he made followed a circular from the Minister of Empowerment of the State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform, No. 36 of 2020 concerning Restrictions on Activities and Going Abroad in Preventing and Spreading Coronavirus Covid-19.

Initially, the Governor circular worked at home only until April 8, 2020, but with the latest circular, the work period at home, or work from home, was displayed on April 21, 2020. “Working at home does not mean leaving the city where you work.
