Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Banyuasin Anniversary, HD Commitment to Support Improving Community Services in Banyuasin (Local Parliament Plenary Meeting Building, Office Complex, Banyuasin Regency Government, Pangkalan Balai, Monday, 10/4/2023).
This was stated by the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru while attending the Special Plenary Meeting of the Banyuasin DPRD commemorating the 21st Anniversary of Banyuasin Regency in 2023 “Gotong Royong to Make Banyuasin Rise Fair and Prosperous with 7 Priority Programs as well as 12 Movements with the Community”.
Previously, HD appreciated the performance of the Banyuasin Regency Government which was really able to realize Banyuasin Bangkit according to its vision. One of them is in the food sector, namely by optimizing its human resources to manage existing land so that Banyuasin is ranked as the 4th largest food producer in Indonesia.
“Currently there is an increase in demand for infrastructure. This is due to community demands for infrastructure improvements in line with the increase in the volume of vehicles in the community,” he said.
For this reason, HD is committed to gradually increasing development and service to the community through the Banyuasin Regency Government. HD asked the Banyuasin Regency Government to encourage community self-reliance by creating local revenue without hurting the community’s enthusiasm for earning a living.
Chairman of the Banyuasin DPRD, Irian Setiawan, SH., M. Si, said that at the moment of the 21st Banyuasin Anniversary, he invited all parties to improve the implementation of the duties and functions of the DPRD and the Banyuasin Regency Government in accelerating development targets and improving the quality of service to the community.
Banyuasin Regent, H. Askolani, SH., MH., revealed that Banyuasin Regency has experienced an increase in regional development indicators, including a decrease in the poverty rate from 10.70 percent to 10.00 percent.
HDI and economic growth, as well as regional income in Banyuasin Regency have also increased, and the unemployment rate has decreased. In addition, Banyuasin Regency received 11 WTPs. (mhn/ril)
