HD directly inspects a number of venues at the XIV Provincial Sports Week in Lahat Regency

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru directly inspected a number of venues planned to be used at the XIV Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in Lahat Regency, Wednesday (16/8).

Where, the review was carried out to ensure the readiness of Lahat Regency as the host.

It is known, a number of preparations continue to be finalized ahead of the implementation of the Porprov. Including venue readiness and implementation time.

“There is no delay in the implementation schedule for Porprov in Lahat Regency from the original schedule. Preparations must be completed carefully,” said Herman Deru after the review.

According to him, the readiness of Lahat district as the host is still in the refinement stage.

Meanwhile, regarding sports issues, Herman Deru advised KONI of the Province and Lahat district to review the size of the implementation of each sport.

On the other hand, Herman Deru also reminded about the readiness of supporting facilities and infrastructure. From lodging to transportation.

Not only that, he continued, the security sector was also an important factor in the success of Porprov in Lahat Regency.

“Security parties such as the National Police, TNI and others must map out points that must be strictly guarded so that athletes are more comfortable participating in matches,” he said.

Moreover, Herman Deru said, the Porprov can also be a means for Lahat Regency to increase and introduce the potential of its tourism sector.

To note, during the review, Governor Herman Deru visited a number of venues, including Bukit Tunjuk Sports Hall, Pagar Agung beach volleyball venue, Dodik Secaba/Secata Putang Lahat, and venues at the former Batai Lahat Terminal.

Porprov itself is planned to continue to be held on 17-24 September 2023.
