Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Dr Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, SH MH Attended the Inauguration of the Liaison Office of the South Sumatra Judicial Commission by the Chairperson of the Judicial Commission, Prof Amzulian Rifai, SH LL M PhD at Jalan Demang Lebar Daun No. 1999, Palembang, Monday, (5/8/2024).
The inauguration of this office was carried out directly by the Chairman of the Judicial Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Amzulian Rifai, attended by the Forkopimda of South Sumatra and related stakeholders.
Amzulian hopes that the location of this new office can be more easily reached by the public, so that the Judicial Commission Liaison Office can improve services optimally.
“Actually, the Judicial Commission in South Sumatra has existed since 2013, but the (old) office was not suitable. So, with the presence of this new office in the city center, it is easier to reach, so that we can improve services optimally to the public,” said this native son of South Sumatra.
Amzulian also hopes that the ranks of the Judicial Commission Liaison Office of South Sumatra can be closer to the community through a number of programs.
“In addition, we hope that this liaison office will not only wait. But also take the time to discuss with the public related to the world of justice. There is also a trial monitoring program that can be improved,” he said.
Meanwhile, South Sumatra DPRD Chairperson Anita Noeringhati hopes that through this new office, the Judicial Commission can improve its duties and functions, especially in receiving and acting on public reports regarding the behavior of judges.
“The public who want to get corrections on the behavior of judges, now do not have to go to Jakarta anymore. This office not only receives reports but also discussions with the public,” concluded Anita. (ojn/ril)
