48.9 million Indonesians have received the COVID-19 booster vaccination

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The COVID-19 Task Force noted that 48,911,774 Indonesians had undergone a booster or COVID-19 vaccination, according to data compiled as of Sunday afternoon.

Data from the COVID-19 Task Force received in Jakarta on Sunday stated that 67,261 people were recorded to have received the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of today.

A total of 201,145,493 people have undergone the first COVID-19 vaccination, with an additional 14,389 people receiving the first dose of the vaccine.

In addition, 18,668 people received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination, so there were 168,447,738 complete vaccination recipients.

The government is still accelerating the vaccination target of 208,265,720 people.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the implementation of booster doses of COVID-19 vaccination is now difficult to find participants, even though this is recommended, especially since cases in Indonesia have also increased again.

The President hopes that the increase will not continue to be significant and he reminds people who have not received the booster vaccination to do so immediately. (mhn/bbs)
