Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – Al Muhdlor Jemaah, based in Wates Village, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung, East Java, celebrated Idul Fitri 1441 Hijri today, Friday (5/22). After previously holding a congregational Id Prayers this morning. Al Muhdlor congregation celebrated Eid. This holiday is earlier than the government and the majority of Muslims in Indonesia.
Id Salat was held at the Nur Muhammad Mosque in Wates Village and became the center of Al Muhdlor Indonesia’s da’wah. Id prayers were attended by about 40 people worshipers.
“We only monitor and secure the course of the Salat Id worship to ensure its implementation continues to comply with the health protocol,” said Kanit Binmas of the Sumbergempol Sector Police Office, Aiptu Mujito, quoted from CNNIndonesia.com.
Congregations who came not only came from around the Village Wates. Previously, Jemaah Al Muhdlor also held Ramadan fasting two days earlier than the government decree.
Like the tradition of NU in the countryside, followers of the teachings of Habib Sayyid Ahmad Bin Salim Al Muhdhor celebrated their first Eid by holding a feast together after the Id Prayers.
Id Salat is directly presumed by Habib Hamid Bin Ahmad Al Muhdhor, a boarding school caretaker who is also the son of the late Habib Sayyid Ahmad bin Salim Al Muhdhor.
Habib Hamid Bin Ahmad Al Muhdhor, previously explained that the Eid celebration was done earlier after undergoing fasting for 30 days during Ramadan.
“We carried out a fast two days earlier than Muslims in general,” Habib Hamid said.
He emphasized that the implementation of the Id Prayer and the fasting of Ramadan earlier were not decided haphazardly.
“There have been calculations based on expert Falaq’s instructions. This belief has also been followed by the congregation of Al Muhdhor for a long time, since the time of Habib Sayyid Ahmad bin Salim Al Muhdhor is still alive,” Habib Hamid said.
However, he stressed that he and the worshipers who held the early Id Prayers were not willing to be covered by the media.
“Worship is a very personal matter. We want to go to worship quietly and do not need to be in the spotlight which later will trigger a debate in the community because we undergo the Idolat prayer earlier than Muslims in general,” he said. (ras/bbs)
