Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Chairman The People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) said the MPR RI is ready to hold the 2022 MPR Annual Session and the DPR-DPD RI Joint Session on Tuesday (16/8).
“The MPR RI is ready to carry out the Annual Session and Joint Session of the MPR RI, DPR RI, and DPD RI tomorrow starting at 09.30 WIB. Starting with the opening, introduction to the session of the chairman of the MPR, and the chairman of the DPR to listen to a speech in the context of the Indonesian Independence Day from the President,” said Bambang Soesatyo in a press conference at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday.
He said after the MPR Annual Session and Joint Session, the event would continue at 13.30 WIB to carry out the DPR RI Plenary Meeting.
According to him, at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting, President Joko Widodo will read out the financial note.
In the agenda of the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI, the event started at 09.30 WIB, beginning with an Introduction to the 2022 MPR Annual Session by the Chairman of the MPR RI, Bambang Soesatyo.
This was followed by an introductory speech to the DPR-DPD RI Joint Session by the Chairperson of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, which was followed by a speech by President Joko Widodo in the context of submitting reports on the performance of state institutions and the speech of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
The event was resumed at 13.30 WIB with the Opening Speech for Session Period I 2022-2023 which was delivered by the Chairman of the DPR RI and continued by President Jokowi’s Speech Delivering the Introduction / Government Statement on the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 along with a Financial Note.
Next, the President is scheduled to submit the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 along with Financial Notes and Supporting Documents to the Chairperson of the DPR RI, followed by Submission of the Bill on the State Budget for Fiscal Year 2023 along with Financial Notes and Supporting Documents as well as a Request for Consideration from the Chairperson of the DPR RI to the Chairperson of the DPD RI.
The MPR Annual Session, Joint Session, and DPR Plenary Meeting are scheduled to finish at 15.07 WIB. (ojn/bbs)
