Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) attended the Inauguration of the Rector / Chairperson of the Kopertais Region II West Sumatra Private Islamic Religious College (PTKAIS) which was inaugurated by the Chairperson of PTKAIS KOPERTAIS Sumbagsel Region, Prof. Dr. Nyanyu Khadijah, M.Sc., as well as the Inauguration of the Branch Management of the South Sumatra Nahdlatul Ulama Teacher Association (PERGUNU) who were directly inaugurated by the General Chairperson of the Central PERGUNU, Prof. Dr. KH. Acep Saifuddin, M.A.
On that occasion, HD said that the role of teachers is very important in providing education to students as the next generation of the nation.
HD also advised the administrators of the PTKAIS Kopertais Region II Sumbagsel and officials of the South Sumatra PERGUNU branch to be orderly internally first, good for the achievement of these noble goals, “said HD.
HD also added that the task of being a teacher is not only identical to teaching in the classroom, but teachers must also be able to exemplify good behavior in their daily lives, where this will be seen and followed by their students.
In addition, HD also said that the Provincial Government of Prov. South Sumatra has provided some assistance to students affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic, “this is a form of Government concern in supporting these students so that they can continue to participate in teaching and learning activities in these conditions”, said HD.
