Kediri, The Indonesia Post – Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Hadi Tjahjanto stated that he is ready to take action against land mafias who have harmed many parties.
“Finally, it has started to go down that corridor (the practice of the land mafia). It’s not a small amount, I will know and it will be easy to take action in the field,” he said during a working visit in Kediri, East Java, Tuesday.
Hadi Tjahjanto admits that he is firmly committed to eradicating the practice of land mafia, because it causes a lot of harm. In fact, he has warned the land mafia to be careful and not to do that practice again. “Be careful with the land mafia. Again, be careful with the land mafia,” he said.
The chairman of the United Mangli Association, Sasminto, has high hopes for the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto so that land disputes in his area can be resolved.
Residents rent land managed by PT Mangli Dian Perkasa. The land area in the Mangli Hamlet, Puncu Village/District, Kediri Regency, according to the HGU is 320 hectares, but currently the HGU has been completed.
Residents hope that the government’s program for land redistribution can be realized. So far, residents have rented the land by planting various plants with varied areas. However, the PT turned out to be renting out to someone else, even though the HGU had already been completed.
“What is clear is the people’s desire, in accordance with Agrarian Reform (Perpres Number 86 of 2018 concerning Agrarian Reform). We get 20 percent of the land area,” he said.
He regretted the conversion of plants. The land managed by PT Mangli Dian Perkasa covers an area of 320 hectares and has been planted with coffee since the beginning. Then it was rented out, so that the plants changed to sugarcane, pineapple, Jabon trees and C. excavation.
The tenants plant a lot of plants such as chili, vegetables, corn, or cassava.
“A sugar cane plantation of 80 hectares is leased, for pineapple plantations between 30-50 hectares. Ironically, PT Mangli’s HGU expires in 2020, but dare to rent it out to other people, is this not against the law, why dare,” he said.
He and other residents hope there will be justice and get their rights.
In the land area of Dusun Mangli, Puncu Village, there are 120 families. Of that number, many still live in the poverty line. By getting their rights, it is hoped that citizens will get a better welfare. (mhn/bbs)
