The governor said, when the weather anomaly entered the dry season, the South Sumatra Provincial Government and other related parties had made anticipation efforts to prevent forest and land fires in South Sumatra this year.
“I invite the people of South Sumatra to be directly involved in anticipating this forest and land fires. We will form a special task force whose work letter will soon be signed. We will continue to pray this year despite entering the dry season but forest fires do not occur. Moreover, the weather is still friendly with rain. down in South Sumatra, “said Herman Deru.
He said the message and the community were very important in preventing forest and land fires in South Sumatra. Thus all parties including the task force include collaborative between elements of POLRI / TNI, and local governments.
“By seeing 9 standby water bombing with 8 units of 4-ton capacity coming from Russia and 1 unit of 5-ton capacity coming from America which is huge. And one patrol aircraft and one Cessna aircraft, so complete the equipment with funding is practically almost unlimited. We the collaborative task force of the Tni / Polri element and the regional government remains the most important is the role of the community. ” he said
He said that this year the task force had carried out 600 bombings of water bombing which had been very influential so far.
“Don’t open up land by burning, don’t let even a speck of fire happen,” he added.
He mentioned, with 1.4 million peatlands that have the potential to fire in 10 districts/cities that are prone to land fires including Ogan Ilir, Musi Banyuasin, Banyusin, Pali, Ogan Komering Ulu, Ogan Komering Ilir, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, Muratara, Musi Rawas, and Muara Enim. HD hopes that all the people of South Sumatra can provide hotspot information to prevent forest and land fires
“we realize that South Sumatra with 1.4 million peatlands has the potential to cause fires that can occur because of human activity and because of nature itself, so we need vigilance and information from the public that workers in the air, workers on land, even community groups certainly hope this community provides hotspot information to prevent land fires. ” Hope
With complete equipment and financing it is ready HD also confirms that the Technology Assessment and Assessment Agency (BPPT) is ready to conduct artificial rain.
By using the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) standard, he said that in 2020 it entered normal limits and did not disturb air flights.
“We are using the Ispu standard which until now Thank God in 2020 this is normal, so the size is not the fog and there are flight standards until now there has not been a single aircraft that was delayed due to haze,” he said.
In 2020 this is somewhat different from the Governor of South Sumatra who has appointed the Regent / Mayor as Chairman of the Task Force in each district / city and provides 45 billion funding.
“This year is different. I not only appointed the Regent / Mayor to become the Provincial Task Force and became the head of the Task Force in the Regency / City, but we also funded 45M funding which included shopping for non-consumable items,” he explained.
HD also applies sanctions to land fire makers in accordance with the law that applies to arsonists and landowners.
“We will impose sanctions in accordance with applicable law both Minister of LHK Regulation 10 of 2010 and all its derivatives. If it was only a perpetrator but now I ask the task force to investigate the landowner including individuals who leave their land abandoned and cause fires to be dealt with,” he said .
