Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially released the first export of cars from Indonesia to the Australian market.
President Jokowi in Karawang, West Java, Tuesday, said the first export of cars from PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia to Australia proves that Indonesia has taken the opportunity to open new export markets.
“Because of that, I really appreciate, really appreciate, because whatever, we have seen the product, Fortuner, in addition to other products,” said President Jokowi as aired on the official Youtube channel of the Presidential Secretariat.
In the event, the President also appreciated the achievement of Toyota’s export production of up to two million units.
The President praised Toyota’s first car exports to Australia. This also signifies the innovations made by the business world even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The pandemic not only presents tests and challenges for all of us, especially for the business world, and especially for industry, but the pandemic also opens up for us to be able to take the opportunities and opportunities that exist,” said the President.
Indonesian car exports to Australia, said the President, show that domestic human resources (HR) have good qualifications in producing cars. Car production requires careful, careful, and careful human resource capacity to meet safety aspects while driving.
“Consumers choose that our products have good quality and qualifications to use. This proves that Indonesian human resources have good qualifications in producing cars. Very thorough, very careful, very careful because this concerns people’s safety,” said the President.
With the realization of exports to Australia, Indonesia has recorded the achievement of car exports to four continents, namely America, Africa, Asia, Australia and a total of 80 countries.
“I am also happy that the local content, TKDN (Domestic Content Level) is more than 75 percent. The local purchases, as well as many components, many spare parts, and also the accessories in the car are supplied by our Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) industries,” said President Jokowi.
