Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said that she had compiled guidelines for the provision or distribution of the 2022 Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) which stipulated several requirements for prospective recipients including having a maximum wage of Rp. 3.5 million.
In a press conference at the Office of the Ministry of Manpower in Jakarta, Tuesday, Minister of Manpower Ida said the terms and criteria for receiving BSU are regulated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 10 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Providing Government Assistance in the Form of Salary/Wage Subsidies for Workers/Labourers.
Some of the requirements include being an Indonesian citizen as evidenced by the possession of a NIK and an active participant in BPJS Employment until July 2022.
“Having a salary or wage of a maximum of IDR 3.5 million or the equivalent of the provincial, district / city minimum wage,” said Ida.
The distribution of BSU itself applies to prospective recipients throughout Indonesia and is excluded for PNS, TNI and Polri.
She explained that according to BPJS Employment data, there were 16,198,731 workers who met the requirements to receive the wage subsidy.
The distribution of data from BPJS Employment will be carried out in stages to the Ministry of Manpower. The first stage itself has been submitted today as many as 5,099,915 prospective recipients.
The Ministry of Manpower will re-examine and match the data to ensure that prospective recipients have not received other assistance from the government, such as the Pre-Employment Card and Family Hope Program (PKH) from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The distribution will be made through member banks of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) and PT Pos Indonesia to ensure the distribution is carried out as soon as possible.
“The main thing is that I want to reach my fellow workers or laborers quickly,” said Ida Fauziyah. (mhn/bbs)
