Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while chairing a limited meeting regarding the evaluation of national strategic projects (PSN) at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java, Tuesday, instructed that all PSNs be physically completed before 2024.
“Mr. President requested that all projects nationally be physically completed before 2024,” said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto after attending the meeting, as stated by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta.
According to Airlangga, the President also emphasized that all PSN can provide real benefits for the Indonesian people, especially in terms of job creation.
The President also hopes that the PSN set by the government can have a multiplier effect on the national economy.
“Whether it is a dam, what is a toll road, it opens wider access and some dams are certainly located in areas that can reduce the poverty level of the community,” said Airlangga.
Because with the availability of water and also in terms of irrigation, it is more and better to be related to problems or related to agricultural programs or agricultural programs, he added.
The Coordinating Minister for the Economy explained that in the 2019-2021 period as many as 66 PSNs had been completed with a value of Rp414.3 trillion.
Meanwhile, for the period January-August 2022, at least nine PSNs have been completed with a value of Rp. 140.1 trillion. “And until September-December, there are 16 projects with a value of Rp101.2 trillion,” he said.
Several PSNs that are still in the process of being completed are the Karangnongko Gerak Dam in Bojonegoro and Blora Regencies, Tuban-Lamongan Toll Road, Trans Sumatra Toll Road, Semarang-Demak Toll Road, and the development of biofuel, methanol, and ethanol in Bojonegoro Regency.
Then the fertilizer factory project in Fakfak Regency, the container port project in Muaro Jambi, to the Ubadari Field natural gas project in West Papua.
In addition, President Jokowi also instructed that the national capital (IKN) of the Archipelago be designated as PSN in order to facilitate the development process.
“The President also directed that specifically for the capital city, it is also designated as a PSN project, because of course this will facilitate and accelerate the development of the capital city,” said Airlangga. (mhn/bbs)
