Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The COVID-19 Task Force reported that more than 167.79 million Indonesians who had received the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccination or complete doses.
According to data from the Task Force on Tuesday afternoon, the number of residents who had received the full dose of vaccination increased by 66,246 people to a total of 167,796,320 people or 80.56 percent of the total 208,265,720 residents who were targeted for vaccination.
The third dose of COVID-19 vaccination or booster vaccination as of Tuesday was recorded to have been carried out on 46,817,474 people, an increase of 198,305 people from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the number of recipients of the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine increased by 138,916 to a total of 200,629,176 people or 96.33 percent of the vaccination target.
Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19 Reisa Broto Asmoro emphasized the importance of vaccination to protect children and families from the transmission of COVID-19.
According to him, every family member should receive a complete dose of vaccination to booster vaccinations to be protected from the disease. (ojn/bbs)
