58,642,419 Indonesian citizens receive booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The COVID-19 Handling Task Force reported that 58,642,419 residents had received booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine after an increase of 97,619 people on Monday (15/8).

According to data from the COVID-19 Task Force received in Jakarta, Monday, as many as 14,786 people received the full dose of vaccine today, bringing the total number of vaccine recipients to 170,501,541 people.

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 vaccinations with the first dose reached 202,966,570 people, an increase of 14,732 people.

As long as the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, the public is advised to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols such as wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water and maintaining distance.

Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Wiku Adisasmito previously emphasized that booster vaccination is important to prevent infection, prevent severity when infected, and minimize the risk of transmission of the corona virus that causes COVID-19.

Wiku appealed to residents who had not received the third dose of vaccination to use information technology to find information on the location of the nearest COVID-19 vaccination service center. (mhn/bbs)
