Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru appreciated the 2nd period of the Donor Love (Cinta) Sriwijaya which was organized by the Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (IKAPPI) of South Sumatra. This was disclosed by HD when opening this activity.
“Blood donation is an activity that must be encouraged,” he said. HD hopes that this activity will trigger other social organizations to carry out similar activities.
“Hopefully this exceeds the donor target that has been set. PMI can also become a vessel and facilitate similar activities on other occasions,” he said.
Previously, HD appreciated the participation of all donors from all walks of life and also those who supported the implementation of this activity.
The Chairperson of the South Sumatra IKAPPI, M. Arris Alkausar, said that this activity was motivated by concern for the increasing need for blood bags in South Sumatra. He revealed that today there were 355 donors registered online, while offline there were 54 people. Among them there were 52 people who had donated their blood.
It is targeted that within 1 week there will be 2,500 donors, of which there are 250 to.d. 300 donors per day. According to him, at the end of this activity there will be a lottery with prizes for donors, namely 3 electric motorbikes and 1 Umrah package.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the South Sumatran TP PKK who is also the Chairperson of the South Sumatra PMI, Hj. Feby Herman Deru, hopes that this activity will continue in the following years. .
“Let’s donate blood, the habit of donating blood is beneficial for health and of course it will benefit others,” he said.
