Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council Invites ‘FJP’ to Build a Dignified Press

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel), Anita Noeringhati, reminded that the Parliamentary Journalists Forum (FJP) is able to collaborate and work together to build democracy and a dignified press. Until the programs implemented so far, can make a broad positive contribution.

This was said by the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, Anita Noeringhati when opening the Parliamentary Journalists Forum (FJP) deliberation, Friday (27/1) at the South Sumatra DPRD MC.

“So in the future FJP management must be able to develop programs that are useful, so as to have a broad positive impact,” said Anita Noeringhati.

According to Anita, in implementing and managing the organization, the FJP Chair should have been the coordinator and not act as a single leader. Because in organizational principles, a coordinator must be able to run the wheels of the organization with other administrators.

“So if the coordinator is not alone, but together with others. Likewise for the new FJP Chair, we hope to be able to manage FJP even better,” explained Anita.

She reminded that the FJP management, which consists of independent members of the press, should maintain their integrity so that a better democracy can be built.

In the FJP meeting, Dudy Oskandar was elected Chair of the Parliamentary Journalists Forum (FJP) for the 2023-2026 period, defeating Ardhy Fitriansyah in voting, with a difference of two votes. (ojn/bbs)
