Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council Receives Commission X DPR RI Work Visit Recess Session Period III Session Year 2022-2023

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., with the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, Mr. Ir. H. Mawardi Yahya, Received a Working Visit of Commission X Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in the Context of Recess for Trial Period III for Session Year 2022-2023, led by Deputy Chairperson of Commission X DPR RI, Dr. Ir. Hetifah Sjaifudian, MPP., located at the Pemprov Bina Praja Auditorium. South Sumatra. Friday (17/02/2023).

The chairperson of the DPRD for the South Sunatera province welcomed and thanked the DPR RI Commission X working visit to South Sumatra to listen to the aspirations of the people of South Sumatra and the Provincial Government of South Sumatra.

On that occasion, the South Sumatra Provincial Government also through related agencies also conveyed their various aspirations related to education, tourism, sports, archives and libraries in South Sumatra.

“I hope that this working visit can benefit the South Sumatra Provincial Government, the community and Commission X of the Indonesian Parliament and ultimately improve people’s welfare,” said Mawardi.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Dr. Ir. Hetifah Sjaifudian, revealed that this activity was indeed carried out to listen to inputs from the regions in areas that are the responsibility of Commission X.

“Our duties are legislation, budget and oversight. The recess was held to absorb aspirations and input from the regions and to report on the results of the performance we have carried out during this trial,” she said.

According to her, her party has produced two new laws, namely regarding sports. Then the Law on psychology education and services. Besides that, currently his party is drafting a tourism law.

“We hope that existing laws can be socialized properly and implemented in society,” she said.

On that occasion, funds were handed over to the South Sumatra Provincial Government for the South Sumatra Library Service of approximately Rp. 23 billion, the South Sumatra Education Office is approximately Rp. 17 billion, and the South Sumatra Tourism Office is approximately Rp. 676 AD

Also attending besides the Chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra Province and the Deputy Governor were members of Commission X DPR RI, Regional Secretary Prov. South Sumatra, and the Heads of South Sumatra OPD. (ojn/ril)
