Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., attended the One Century Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Reception at PCNU Palembang City level and the inauguration of MWC and NU Branches throughout Palembang City, as well as the National Speech by K.H. Achmad Chalwani Nawawi, at Graha Insani Airport Palembang. Friday (17/2/2023).
Apart from the reception and inauguration ceremony, there was also a national speech by KH. Achmad Chalwan Nawawi, the leader of the An Nawawi Islamic boarding school, Berjan Purworejo, said that there were three big kiai from East Java who founded NU. Although outside of them there were a number of other names that played a role in the early formation of NU. The following are three kiai from Jombang, KH. Hasyim Asy’ari, KH. Abdul Wahab Chasbullah and KH. Bisri Syansuri.
“Pancasila above Islamic law should never change the basis of the state, if anyone wants to change it will face NU,” he said.
Present at the reception Dr. KH. Rosidin Hasan, M.Pd.I. as Rois Syuriah in his speech said that in a century of NU’s age, our successors must give appreciation to the founding predecessors of NU.
“Today, 107 branches will be inaugurated and 18 MWCs throughout the city of Palembang, NU will make the city of Palembang green,” he said.
In addition to the chairman of the South Sumatra provincial legislature, RA. Anita Noeringhati, also present at the activity, Chairperson of the South Sumatran PWNU KH. Amiruddin Nahrawi, chairman of PCNU Palembang city KH. Hendra Zainuddin, Regional Secretary of Palembang Ratu Dewa, Banom NU and other invitees. (ojn/ril)
