Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairperson of the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) received a friendly visit from the MPW ICMI Orwil of South Sumatra for the 2022-2027 period and the Preparatory Meeting for Silatwil (Regional Gathering) I Regional Management Council of the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) Orwil South Sumatra for the 2022-2027 period, at the Office of the Chairperson of the Prov. South Sumatra Legislative Council, Saturday (7/1/2023).
This activity was attended by the management of the South Sumatran ICMI Orwil in order to prepare the first work program of the South Sumatran ICMI in the future which will take place in Lahat Regency as well as the inauguration of the Lahat Orda ICMI which will take place on the 28th of January.
H. Heri Amalindo, MM, as chairman of ICMI Sumsel said this activity was a routine activity carried out to develop ICMI’s future work program,
“Today’s activity is to strengthen South Sumatran Muslim scholars in future work programs for the progress of South Sumatra itself, both from the thoughts and the real work programs that will be carried out,” he said.

The Chairperson of the DPRD of the Province of South Sumatra and also as an advisory board for the ICMI Orwil of South Sumatra felt proud of holding the Gathering and preparatory meeting for Regional Work Gathering (Silakwil) which took place at his official residence.
“I feel proud and grateful to ICMI South Sumatra, especially the management for choosing this official residence as a place to stay in touch and work meetings, because we really hope that the thoughts of these scholars will be able to bring South Sumatra even better in the future,” he said.
