Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council Monitors Vaccine Acceleration in OKI Regency

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Committed to supporting the government in accelerating vaccination, the Chair of the South Sumatra Provinvial Legislative Council (DPRD), Hj R.A Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH. monitoring the acceleration of vaccination in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, Wednesday (2/3).

Considering that the OKI Regency was ranked 17th in the acceleration of vaccination in South Sumatra, it became the attention of the government and the National Police.

“Actually, by the end of the year it should have reached a minimum of 70 percent,” said Anita during her visit.

Anita explained that this vaccination is an effort to prevent the virus attack. In addition, the booster vaccine has now started.

“We ask that the Health Office can really pursue vaccination targets, including for children,” she recalled.

OKI itself is ranked 17th in the acceleration of vaccination in South Sumatra. Now recorded from 577,930 vaccine targets, 88.97 percent of dose 1 has reached, while for dose 2 it has only reached 53.69 percent.

“After receiving a visit from the National Police Chief some time ago, the acceleration of the second dose has accelerated, previously it was only 32 percent,” said OKI Kadinkes Iwan Setiawan SKM M Kes during the presentation.

Based on the data, the target number for children reached 85,219 with the percentage of achieving 85.23 percent of the 1st dose and 43.26 percent of the 2nd dose.

“Our obstacle is the area and terrain of the OKI district. For the stock of vaccines, alhamdulillah, as of February, Az (10,530), Sinovac (15,008) and Pfizer (23,748), he said.

Then, the OkI Health Office also conveyed aspirations to the chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD to be conveyed to interested parties related to vaccinations and the governor’s assistance for the OIC Health Office. (ojn/ril)
