HD Asks People to Beware of Dengue Fever

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru (HD) held a Friday Prayer Safari at the Mustaqim Mosque, Ario Kemuning Village, Palembang, Friday (21/10/2022). There, HD conveyed his hope to the public to be aware of dengue fever, which is currently viral and has become one of the important problems faced by the government.

HD expects the community, especially around the Mustaqim mosque to keep the environment clean in the rainy season which is now of high intensity and can cause puddles of water.

He also instructed the local Camat to do Fogging mainly on densely populated settlements. “Try to do fogging, I ask the sub-district head to be accommodated, later if there is something lacking, you can ask me,” said HD.

In addition to dengue fever, HD also expects the public to be careful if they want to use syrup drugs that contain substances that can trigger acute kidney disorders in children.

This is because of the advice from the Ministry of Health regarding some syrup drugs that can cause acute kidney failure in children under five, as is the current issue.

On that occasion HD handed over an aid of Rp. 35 million for the completion of the repair of the Mustaqim Mosque and received directly by the head of the mosque. (mhn/ril)
