Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The South Sumatra Provincial Government has implemented various strategies to produce quality innovations to solve various problems and challenges.
“Innovation does not have to be sophisticated, but must be able to answer real needs in the field evenly and massively so that it has a real impact on the community,” said the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru in his presentation as a nominee for the winner of the Innovative Government Award (IGA) activity.
HD said as another strategy, his party also formed Mental Innovators, through 4-S, namely Everyone can be an innovator, Every problem becomes an innovation opportunity, Every Solution must be Synergic, Every innovation is concrete as a result.
In addition, an Innovation Culture was created and awarded awards for innovators. The year 2020 was awarded to 87 innovators. And Regional Innovation is regulated in planning and regulatory documents as a legal umbrella.
“In 2021 we have input a number of 267 innovations in the IGA application. Our existing Regional Innovations are disseminated through the Innovative program, namely One Day One Innovation which is broadcast every day with different innovations,” he said.
The Regional Innovation Index value based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 100-4672 of 2020 is 24,062 with the Very Innovative Provincial Government Category. This achievement was obtained through a systematic process, full of togetherness with all regional apparatus according to their affairs and main functions, which were monitored directly by the Governor.
“The implementation of innovation in South Sumatra involves the community directly and is beneficial for the community in terms of facilitating public services and improving the quality of human resources with existing technology and increasing community welfare,” he concluded.
On that occasion, the Innovation presented by Governor Herman Deru received positive responses from various questioners from the Ministry of Finance, UI, and Bappenas.
