Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru said he really believed that data was important as accurate data to take positive steps to make a decision and the next step by considering alternatives with facts on the ground of course from data released by Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS).
This was stated when receiving the Deputy of the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency M. Habibullah S.Si, M.Sc accompanied by the Head of BPS for South Sumatra Province Mr. Moh Wahyu Yulianto S.Sc., SST, M.Sc. and staff in the framework of Gathering.
“You need to equate perceptions with sectors. And this is not just a doctrine of literacy so that people know as data with accurate information for the community,” said Governor Herman Deru (HD).
HD stated that BPS is also a navigator for services in the execution of products to be produced in order to take the following steps with various considerations and as data from important fields.
“BPS is constructive in spirit with correct data and I always act based on data and I have done it since I became Regent to Governor” said HD.
HD continued, data is very important as an example in reducing stunting rates in South Sumatra, the success and success in controlling inflation with the South Sumatra Independent Food Movement (GSMP) program and also the success of South Sumatra in agriculture as the highest rice producer in Indonesia.
