Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru appreciated the various aspects of development that had been carried out in the city of Palembang in order to improve services to the community.
This was revealed by HD while attending the Special Plenary Meeting of the Palembang City Legislative Council (DPRD) in commemoration of the 1339th Anniversary of Palembang City in 2022 “Healthy Palembang, Economic Rise for Palembang Emas Darussalam 2023”. The Plenary Meeting was opened by the Chairperson of the Palembang City DPRD, Zainal Abidin.
“Happy Anniversary of Palembang City, as the oldest city in Indonesia, it seems that this city has inherited the knights of the Sriwijaya Kingdom who inherited concern for the citizens in building not only the visible but also the invisible,” he said.
For example, working with providers to provide zero blankspot services in the city of Palembang, explained HD. Furthermore, the PDAM network has been felt by 100 percent of Palembang residents.
“This extraordinary achievement is recognized, what can be seen is the infrastructure that has been built, although there are still complaints. And this is of course reasonable because we have carried out budget recofusing in controlling covid-19 in the city of Palembang and as a result, thank God, currently the control of covid-19 in Palembang is under control well,” he explained.
The Mayor of Palembang, H Harnojoyo, said that Palembang rose up bravely to innovate with new things. Let’s increase the spirit of development in the community in order to realize the 2023 Golden Palembang. On that occasion, Harnojoyo reported on various developments, community services and innovations in Palembang.
