Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru said that in order to accelerate the construction of the Tanjung Carat Port, it must be carried out with the principles of prudence and cooperation and guidance is needed to obtain a scheme to comply with applicable legal procedures.
This was stated at a meeting related to the Prov. South Sumatra and the Regional Regulation concerning the Appointment of Regional owned enterprises (BUMD) for Virtual Port Services, which was opened by the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi.
“Therefore, an integrated team will be formed between the Ministry of Home Affairs, the South Sumatra Provincial Government for consultation with the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun),” said Governor Herman Deru (HD).
HD conveys South Sumatra Provincial Government Land Grants The process of local government land grants is guided by Government Regulation Number 27 of 2014 concerning State/Regional Property and Government Regulation Number 28 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation no. 27 of 2014 concerning State/Regional Property.
The land area of ±169,352 hectares is currently being processed at the Banyuasin Regency Land Office and is waiting for the results of the land value assessment by the appraisal team.
Meanwhile, the process of releasing land in a protected forest area of ±60 hectares based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 116/MenLHK/Setjen/PLA.2/6/2022 dated 20 June 2022, on 20 September 2022 Final Discussion on the Results of Forest Area Boundary for ports
“The development of the Tanjung Carat port is an important thing, very beneficial for the community considering that the port will be the pulse of the South Sumatran economy,” concluded HD
