Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru (HD) attended the Ramadhan 1444H / 2023 M Recitation with the OPD of South Sumatra Province as well as the closing of the call to prayer for the Governor of South Sumatra Cup aged 12-25 years which was organized by PWI South Sumatra Province.
Starting his speech, HD congratulated all the winners of the call to prayer competition and also congratulated the organizing committee for successfully organizing the event.
HD also urges the call to prayer to be echoed properly in mosques and prayer rooms in South Sumatra so that the sound of the call to prayer does not disturb the public, especially those who are not Muslim.
“We are happy when mosques and surau are built beautifully, but we are also often forgotten for the beauty of the call to prayer. Therefore, this call to prayer is expected to spark the enthusiasm of our youth to manage their voices so that this call to prayer can become a broadcast of our religion that sounds good to the public “, said HD.
HD also hopes that with the many call to prayer competitions held it will give birth to new Bilals in continuing Bilal’s enthusiasm for calling the call to prayer.
In addition, HD urges the media and social media account owners to be able to make a balance in broadcasting news that is cross-checked beforehand about the truth of the news to be distributed.

In his report he said that the purpose of the 1444H / 2023 M Ramadhan Recitation and Tarawih Prayers in congregation was carried out to increase the relationship between media activists and members of the press.
He added that the congregational tarawih prayer was attended by all ASN and Honorary Staff of the South Sumatra Communication and Information Service and the Public Relations Protocol Bureau as well as members of the press and participants in the call to prayer competition for the governor of South Sumatra.
