HD wants to write history, shorten the distance from Palembang to Mura by 3.5 hours

PALI, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru, in the 2020 fiscal year, again provided Governor Assistance (Bangub) to PALI Regency amounting to IDR 63 billion. The assistance was used for the improvement of road infrastructure connecting Semanggus Village, Talang Ubi District, Pali Regency to BTS Ulu Cecar District, Mura Regency.

“Jalan Desa Semanggus, Talang Ubi Subdistrict to Cecar along 4.13 KM will be connected later to Mura Regency and towards Pali Regency. Later we will meet in the middle in 2021. So the total handling of the South Sumatra Governor’s assistance for Pali Regency is Rp. 63 billion, “said the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, during a gathering with the people of Semanggus Village, Talang Ubi District, PALI Regency, last Sunday (30/8).

To ensure the condition of the 4.13 KM road, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru together with the Regent of Musi Rawas Hendra Gunawan and his entourage directly tested the connecting road field between Musi Rawas Regency and PALI Regency using two-wheeled motorbikes. The reviewers started from Sp. Semabang then Kelurahan Sp. 9 Bangun Jaya – The intersection of Jane Station in Musi Rawas Regency until it continues towards Semanggus Village, Talang Ubi District, PALI Regency.

Arriving at Semanggus Village, Talang Ubi District, PALI Regency, South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru stayed in touch with the surrounding community while ensuring that the South Sumatra Provincial Government was focusing on infrastructure development and improvement, one of which was in PALI and Mura Regencies.

There, HD immediately instructed the Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Perkim Agency to build a monument so that newcomers and road access users know the boundaries of the two districts, both Mura Regency and PALI Regency, which also function as a guide.

Governor Herman Deru said the construction of this connecting road must be realized quickly in addition to cutting the distance between the two regencies as well as to facilitate access and to minimize transportation costs in the exchange of commodity yields between the two neighboring districts.

“To go to Mura, there are three options. The first one can go through the cliff but for a dozen hours, then there is also the Mangun Jaya Muara Lakit road, which can take nine hours. I, along with the Regent of Mura and the Regent of PALI, will make history so that Palembang and Mura can be reached in three hours and a half. This is through PALI Regency and then through to BTS Ulu Cecar District. Hopefully this will be realized in 2021, “he said.

On the same day, the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, also provided assistance for the implementation of road and bridge infrastructure development to Musi Rawas Regency, meeting in Yudha Karya Village, Suka Karya District, Sunday (30/8) morning. (ojn/rel)
