Herman Deru Immediately Implements  Violators Sanctions for Pergub 37

PALEMBANG, TheIndonesiaPost – Socialization of Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 37 of 2020 has been carried out since a week ago. Where the socialization of the governor’s regulation which questions about the guidelines for adapting new habits to a productive and safe society in the Covid-19 situation in South Sumatra, is now entering its final stage.

South Sumatra Governor H Herman Deru ensured that after this socialization was completed, sanctions for violators of the Pergub would be enforced immediately.

“We will not limit community activities as long as the community disciplines health protocols. Therefore, the Governor Regulation Number 37 of 2020 is made. Currently, it is entering the last day of the governor’s socialization. We will impose sanctions,” HD said, Tuesday (15/9).

According to him, the imposition of sanctions for violators of the Governor Regulation was carried out as an effort to increase public awareness of the importance of health protocols, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“The imposition of this sanction is not our hope that we will get a fine or punishment. The aim is that we want to remind that this government is there for the community at times of difficulty like this. The government guarantees the safety of its people, its protection through this Pergub issued,” he explained.

It is known, this Pergub is enforced for all circles and is applied in every place such as offices, business premises, public facilities, schools, as well as during activities involving the general election and others.

Where the violators of this Pergub will be given sanctions for police force and administrative sanctions. Administrative sanctions include verbal or written warnings, temporary suspension of activities, permanent cessation of activities, revocation of permits and even fines of Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 500 thousand.

Meanwhile, for business premises, offices, hotels and so on, administrative sanctions will be given starting from a temporary suspension to fines of at least IDR 5 million and a maximum of IDR 15 million.

Meanwhile, the force of the police is that offenders are required to clean public facilities so that they promise not to violate health protocols.

“I hope that public awareness and participation in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 can increase. Health protocols must be disciplined to encourage the recovery of various aspects both from the medical, social and economic side,” he concluded. (mhn/ril)
