Inaugurating Substation in Muratara, HD Asks for Involvement of Local Workers

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD) accompanied by the Chairperson of the TP PKK of South Sumatra Province, Hj. Feby Herman Deru inaugurated the pulling of the first conductor (First Stringing) of the 150 kv SUTT Sarolangun – Muara Rupit which was carried out at the Karang Waru Village Main Substation, Rupit District, Muratara Regency (Monday, 6/23/2025).

The inauguration of the construction of the PLN Main Substation in North Musi Rawas Regency was finally officially opened by the Governor of South Sumatra.

This main substation will be strengthened with a 150 kilo volt SUTT network connecting Surulangun to Muara Rupit, and is one of the strategic projects in strengthening the electricity supply in the Muratara area and its surroundings.

With the presence of this main substation, it is hoped that it can encourage economic growth, accelerate development, and provide a more reliable electricity supply for the community.

In his remarks, the Governor said that this electricity project is not just infrastructure development, but a milestone for major changes for Muratara.

“After years of fighting for substations and electricity networks, today we are witnessing the beginning of hope. In 2026, I want all of Muratara to be brightly lit,” said Herman Deru enthusiastically.

“In certain categories that can use local labor, please be involved,” said Deru firmly. (rys/ril)
