According to Asgianto, the quota for cooking oil in South Sumatra has been fulfilled, but because many people buy cooking oil beyond their daily needs, the oil stock runs out.

“Some people get it, some don’t, so a control filter is needed in the community,” said Asgianto.

Second, his party asked Bulog to immediately conduct market operations in 17 city districts.

Secretary of Commission II of the South Sumatra DPRD, Firdaus, said that at least until mid-March the distribution of cooking oil will be stable so that there is no longer a shortage of cooking oil in the community.

“Because the holy month of Ramadan will soon enter, therefore the city hopes that God willing, the scarcity of cooking oil will be resolved soon,” said Firduas.

Meanwhile, the Food Task Force for the South Sumatra Police, AKBP Hadi Syarifuddin, based on the results of the report from the Food Task Force for the District Police, there was no shortage of cooking oil.

“Cooking oil has been resolved, there is no shortage, it is based on the results of monitoring that we do every day,” said Hadi.

According to him, based on the results of the report from Bulog, South Sumatra will soon distribute 58 thousand liters of cooking oil to city districts such as conducting market operations.

“This is one of the efforts to prevent shortages in the field,” he said.

In addition, according to him, the largest cooking oil producer in PT Sinar Alam Permai promised to meet the demand for cooking oil supply. “We are very committed to helping the government so that this scarcity does not happen again in the field,” he said.

In the field, there is still a scarcity of cooking oil, even though the price is Rp. 14 thousand per liter, but cooking oil is not available in public figures, so it is difficult for people to buy cooking oil. (ojn/bbs/ril)
