According to the chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, in South Sumatra the people are not only happy with the 17 August celebrations but also express their emotions because the independence that Indonesia has won is not a gift but through a long struggle.
“Therefore, we see that in 2022, the people of South Sumatra express joy in commemorating the 77th anniversary of independence from all walks of life, starting from small children, teenagers to parents, who do a lot of competitions, which are basically competitions that bond friendships, so we are grateful that South Sumatra is a province that can stick together. harmony,” said the Golkar Party politician.
And according to Anita, President Jokowi wants 2024 to be at hand, even though it will face a democratic party, but unity and unity will be maintained.

Meanwhile, President Ir Joko Widodo in his speech said that there are 5 (five) major agendas for advanced Indonesia, namely Downstreaming and industrializing natural resources, Optimizing clean energy sources and a green economy, Legal, social, political and economic protection for the people, MSMEs advancing to class, Development of the Capital of the Archipelago.
“I reiterate. The nation’s grand agenda must not stop. I invite all components of the nation to unite, to support the big agenda for the achievement of Advanced Indonesia. With commitment and hard work with innovation and creativity,” he said.
In addition, Jokowi also said that Indonesia had received an award from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) because it was considered capable of achieving a system of food security and rice self-sufficiency since 2019.
Jokowi also emphasized that he was able to stop politicizing religion on political stages so that democracy in Indonesia would be more mature.
