Palembang, The Indonesia Post – State High School (SMAN) 19 Palembang, which is located in the Jakabaring Palembang area, lacks 4 New Classrooms (RKB).
Deputy Chairperson of Commission V Legislative Council (DPRD) South Sumatra (Sumsel) Mgs Syaiful Padli said that some time ago Commission V DPRD South Sumatra paid a visit to SMAN 19. After checking, SMAN19 lacked new classrooms.
“Alhamdulillah, after conducting a survey on the planning of the South Sumatra National Education Office, hopefully in 2023, funds will be allocated for the addition of 4 RKBs,” he said after conducting a second recess for members of the South Sumatra DPRD for the Dapil I to SMAN 19 Palembang, Wednesday (13/7).
The group was led by the chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj RA Anita Noeringhati from the Golkar Party, with other members Prima Salam from Gerindra, H Kartak SAS from PKB, Mgs Syaiful Padli from PKS, Dedi Siprianto from the PDI-P and H Chairul S Matdiah from the Democratic Party.
Syaiful Fadli hopes that SMAN19 is 4 of the schools in Seberang Ulu.
“From the data we have obtained, there are 1.6 million residents of Palembang city, around 500-600 thousand residents are in the Seberang Ulu area. In fact, there is still an imbalance between the population across Ulu and Seberang Ilir,” he said.
Syaiful Fadli said that we are still pushing for a balanced secondary school building across from Ulu and Ilir.
One of them is the addition of the allocation of education funds in Seberang Ulu.
“We hope that the Disdik of South Sumatra Province can pay attention to the construction of schools in the Seberang Ulu area,” he said.
The head of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, said that her party came to SMAN19 first to absorb the aspirations of SMAN19, as we know that SMAN19 is located in the border area between Palembang, Banyuasin and Ogan Ilir.
“After we took a recess here, my friends and members of the South Sumatra DPRD who came from Dapil I Palembang City were able to witness firsthand that the state of SMAN19 was quite good, beautiful, organized, but this is of course a synergy and collaboration between the Principal, Teachers and Chairman of the Committee,” she said.
The Golkar Party politician admits that there has been a proposal to the South Sumatra DPRD regarding the addition of a new classroom construction in 2023 which, if I’m not mistaken, has been proposed to Commission V of the South Sumatra DPRD and has been verified.
“Hopefully in 2023 the addition of new classrooms can be realized,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMAN 19 Palembang H. Slamet. Mpd appreciates and thanks the South Sumatra DPRD members who have participated and held a recess here.
“This can certainly motivate us, especially me as the principal, teachers and students here,” he said.
SMAN 19 Committee Chairman M. Hidayat Comsu hopes that the recess of the South Sumatra DPRD members can advance schools at SMAN 19 because when viewed from the strategic location between Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir there is social inequality because in the Seberang Ulu area there are only 4 Temporary Public Schools. in the Seberang Ilir area there are 18 public schools.
He further said that with this recess, SMAN 19 could become a superior school.
Not only SMAN 4, but SMAN 19 can also be the flagship SMAN in Seberang Ulu.
The South Sumatra Provincial Government has not established any more schools but has empowered public schools in Seberang Ulu. (ojn/bbs)
