Surabaya, The Indonesia Post – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa arrived in Indonesia after performing the pilgrimage to the Holy Land with her daughter Fatimah Sang Mannagali Parawansa.
In a press statement received in Surabaya, Wednesday, she said that this pilgrimage was an offering for his late mother Rochmah.
“This pilgrimage is a badal pilgrimage, which I intend for my late mother. For my father, another badal will carry out. He has passed away, hopefully the reward of Hajj will reach his dear parents,” she said.
Governor Khofifah arrived in Jakarta this morning with a group of Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin at VIP III Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.
Khofifah, who was greeted by a number of heads of East Java regional apparatus organizations (OPD) in Jakarta, then left for Surabaya and arrived at Juanda International Airport, Wednesday afternoon.
Initially, the former social minister was scheduled to return to Indonesia on July 23, 2022, but because the hajj pilgrimage has been completed, she hastened her return.
While in the Holy Land, she made a pilgrimage to the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Roudhoh.
That’s why the governor felt it was time to immediately return to the country to carry out her duties as regional head.
Moreover, the current Presidential Decree related to the Decree of the Regional Secretary of East Java Province has been issued, so that Governor Khofifah will soon carry out the inauguration.
“So we can be together for the revival of East Java. Let’s work hard to accelerate the progress and welfare of the community. Hopefully, Allah will make this endeavor easier,” she said.
“For those who haven’t had the pilgrimage, hopefully they will soon receive Allah’s call to carry out the fifth pillar of Islam. If you have received the call, God willing, there will be a way,” said Khofifah.
On the other hand, regarding the arrival of regular pilgrims from Surabaya Debarkation, the first batch is scheduled to arrive on July 15, 2022 and the last batch will enter the Sukolilo Hajj Dormitory on August 14, 2022. (mhn/bbs)
