Palembang, The Indonesia Post – In commemoration of Bhayangkara’s 77th Birthday, the South Sumatra Regional Police held the 2023 South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Badminton Championships to be held at the Muhammad Ahsan Sports Building, Palembang Pakri Complex.
Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., who was present at the opening of the badminton championship, when interviewed expressed her appreciation for the implementation of this championship. She emphasized the important role of the government and all related parties in supporting the development of better sports infrastructure in South Sumatra.
“I appreciate holding the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Badminton Championships Cup IV 2023. Sport is a very effective means of maintaining health and fostering a spirit of unity. I hope the government and the community will continue to collaborate in improving sports facilities so that our athletes can perform better,” said Anita.
Anita also witnessed the signing of the inscription for the Inauguration of the Muhammad Ahsan Sports Building which shows the importance of developing adequate sports infrastructure to encourage the development of athletes’ achievements in South Sumatra.
The 2023 South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Badminton Championships attracted 471 athletes from various regions with participants divided into 7 categories, namely men’s singles, children’s singles, young men’s singles, young women’s singles, men’s doubles, early age singles boys, and girls single early age. The participants competed with enthusiasm to achieve the best performance and show their best abilities on the field.
Sport has a very important role in people’s lives. In addition to providing benefits for health and fitness, sports can also foster a spirit of togetherness, strengthen unity, and form a strong character. Through the 2023 South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Badminton Championships, it is hoped that it will be able to inspire the public, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in various sports activities.
The 2023 South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Badminton Championships is clear evidence that sport has a positive impact in uniting society. Through the achievements of athletes and government support, sports in South Sumatra are growing and becoming a place for the younger generation to develop their talents and abilities.
