Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The inauguration of the South Sumatra Student Youth Movement (GAASS) for the 2023-2026 period was held at the Swarna Dwipa hotel, Palembang, Wednesday (30/8).
Apart from being attended by South Sumatran youth leaders, this inauguration was also attended by representatives of the Governor of South Sumatra, chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD) Hj RA Anita Noeringhati. SH. MH., as well as hundreds of students and the general public.
Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, HJ RA Anita Noeringhat who is also the GAADD Advisory Council, said that the inauguration of the South Sumatran student movement was filled by millennials.
“As chairman, I appreciate that there is a youth movement that wants to help the government. “Because of this youth movement, in terms of safeguarding development, order and checking the balance of the South Sumatra provincial government,” she said.
During the democratic party, we hope that this student movement can invite young leaders and millennials to make the 2024 elections a success.
“It is on the shoulders of the youth at this time to carry the fate of the nation and state in the future,” said this Golkar Party politician.
The Governor of South Sumatra, represented by the expert staff of the Governor for Legal and Political Administration, H Koimuddin, explained that the presence of youth leaders and the inauguration of the South Sumatran youth student movement was the first term and was highly appreciated.
“The Governor expressed his appreciation and hoped that from the ceremonial event, the existence of the GAASS management organization could be maintained. Apart from that, the governor also hopes that GAASS will participate in development. The governor also hopes that the GAASS organization will be an example for South Sumatra youth and teenagers. “To carry out positive activities towards a resilient South Sumatra,” she said.
Furthermore, all administrators and members are expected to dedicate their abilities. So that it can provide encouragement to provincial and regional governments.
Chairman of GAASS, Andi Leo, said that this activity itself carried the theme of Millennial Unity to Make South Sumatra Progressive and Prosperous.
“82 administrators were appointed, including the general chairman, general treasurer and secretary of the division. Invited guests came from BEM, campus extras and invited media. “There are also students from South Sumatra, as well as South Sumatra community figures,” he said.
Andi explained that the management of the South Sumatra Youth Movement itself is expected to be more advanced in the future.
“We have a short-term program, namely internal. Strategy studies and others. “So that external applications can significantly help the South Sumatra government and maintain justice and control the unrest of the South Sumatra people,” he said. GAASS can also be formed in several regions both in South Sumatra and outside South Sumatra.
Regarding election issues, GAAS will provide intelligence to youth and students.
So that people are smarter and more careful in overseeing the 2024 election. “GAASS, we were born out of anxiety, not interest,” he said. (ojn/bbs)
